This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the HTS1001.2 satellites (purple trace), Kube-1 subwoofer (blue trace), and HTC1001.2 center channel (green trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The HTS1001.2’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.28/–2.53 decibels from 300 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 250 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 190 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.96 ohms at 20 kHz and a phase angle of –42.99 degrees at 6.7 kHz.

The HTC1001.2’s listening-window response measures +3.19/–3.10 dB from 300 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +3.20/–3.00 dB from 300 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 213 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 170 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.96 ohms at 20 kHz and a phase angle of –41.05 degrees at 6.7 kHz.

The Kube-1’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 43 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 37 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 104 Hz with the Crossover control set to maximum.—MJP
