Samsung PN50A550 Plasma HDTV:
Unit-to-unit sample variations, the viewing environment, and the source might render these settings less than optimum. We strongly recommend that you confirm the results on your sample by using a good display setup DVD to get as close as possible to an optimum picture short of a full calibration. The latter should involve both color temperature (White Balance) and Color Space, and is best left to a trained and properly equipped technician, such as those certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF). Given those unit-to-unit sample variations, it's very possible that the settings given below for White Balance and Color Space may be no more accurate on a given sample of the set than the factory Warm2 Color Tone and Auto Color Space settings. Only a full calibration can insure that they will be spot-on. Samsung has also redesigned its Service menu to make it far more usable and calibrator-friendly than before. While the settings in the user menu can be used to perform a full calibration, making these adjustments in the Service menu instead means that the user settings, in their reset positions, will be correctly calibrated. If the calibration is done only in the user menus, however, any change to the user settings will derail the calibrated results (which is why it's always good advice to write down all of your preferred settings and put them in a safe place).
