Mirage OMD-15 Speaker System:
L/R Sensitivity: 87 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Center Sensitivity: 87 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Surround Sensitivity: 85 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the OMD-15 L/R (purple trace), S-10 subwoofer (blue trace), OMD-C1 center channel (green trace), and OMD-5 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. Please note that any loudspeakers with such extremely broad dispersion patterns would be expected to produce a somewhat top-tilted-down response curve using our standard tests. The OMD-15's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.69/–6.41 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 37 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 32 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.64 ohms at 179 Hz and a phase angle of –58.46 degrees at 93 Hz. The OMD-C1's listening-window response measures +1.89/–7.91 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.66/–8.12 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 89 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 78 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.24 ohms at 1.2 kHz and a phase angle of –64.32 degrees at 136 Hz. The OMD-5's listening-window response measures +1.51/–6.01 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 101 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 86 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.05 ohms at 299 Hz and a phase angle of –63.27 degrees at 154 Hz. The S-10's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 24 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 22 Hz, with a peak of +5.28 dB at 31 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 106 Hz with the Filter switch set to Off.—MJP
