Aperion Intimus 6T-DB Hybrid XD Speaker System:
L/R Sensitivity: 88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Center Sensitivity: 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Surround Sensitivity: 84 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Intimus 6T L/R (purple trace), Bravus 12D subwoofer (blue trace), Intimus 6C center channel (green trace), and Intimus 5D surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. The Intimus 6T’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +1.53/–2.73 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 41 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 34 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.62 ohms at 126 Hz and a phase angle of –115.09 degrees at 58 Hz. The Intimus 6C’s listening-window response measures +2.36/–3.29 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz in On Stand mode. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.43/–3.19 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 62 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 55 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.76 ohms at 99 Hz and a phase angle of –64.82 degrees at 69 Hz. The Intimus 5D’s three-face averaged response, using the manufacturer’s specified vertical axis of 15 degrees below the tweeter, measures +1.29/–6.59 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz in Dipole mode. The –3-dB point is at 360 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 216 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 8.99 ohms at 2.0 kHz and a phase angle of –65.63 degrees at 111 Hz. Please note that when wall mounted, the response below a few hundred hertz would be expected to increase due to the effect of boundary gain, which is not represented in our quasi-anechoic measurements. The Bravus 12D’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 30 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 24 Hz in Movie mode. The upper –3-dB point is at 121 Hz using the LFE input.—MJP
