JVC DLA-HD1 D-ILA Projector: On the Bench
Features We Miss: Please. If Sony owned CEDIA after introducing the Pearl, JVC's DLA-HD1 was the most talked about PJ coming out of CES 2007. The DLA-HD1 is a three-chip 1080p rig that uses improved fill factor and a new optical engine with improved light polarization to get better blacks without the dynamic iris systems that are popping up everywhere else. On top of that, the DLA-HD1 features name brand video processing by Gennum and better still, comes in at just $6,300! Available in February, and we'll be taking a look at this PJ in the June print issue of HT, as part of our projector roundup!
