Yamaha DVX-S100 HTIB:
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the NX-S100S L/R/surround (purple trace), SW-S100 subwoofer (blue trace), and NX-S100C center channel (green trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. The NX-S100S's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/-15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +3.40/-2.80 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The -3dB point is at 178 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 150 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.82 ohms at 551 Hz and a phase angle of -36.83 degrees at 267 Hz. Sensitivity averages 91 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz. The NX-S100C's listening-window response measures +5.17/-1.39 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and (+/-15-degree) horizontal responses measures +4.37/-1.42 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The -3dB point is at 158 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 115 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.04 ohms at 572 Hz and a phase angle of -31.02 degrees at 274 Hz. Sensitivity averages 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz. The SW-S100's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower -3dB point is at 37 Hz and the -6dB point is at 32 Hz. The upper -3dB point is at 106 Hz. The left amplifier channel, with two channels driving 8-ohm loads, reaches 0.1% distortion at 25.6 watts and 1% distortion at 30.0 watts. Into 4 ohms, the amplifier reaches 0.1% distortion at 23.3 watts and 1% distortion at 31.2 watts. Crosstalk at 1 kHz driving 2.83 volts into an 8-ohm load was -78.02 dB left to right and -74.18 dB right to left. THD+N from the amplifier was less than 0.010% at 1 kHz when driving 2.83 volts into an 8-ohm load. The signal-to-noise ratio with 2.83 volts driving an 8-ohm load from 10 Hz to 24 kHz with "A" weighting was -104.92 dBrA.—AJ
