Philips MX6000i Wireless Home Theater System:
Two channels driven into 8-ohm loads: 0.2% distortion at 24.7 watts 1% distortion at 34.6 watts Two channels driven into 4-ohm loads: 0.2% distortion at 42.1 watts 1% distortion at 61.5 watts This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the satellites (purple trace), subwoofer (blue trace), and center channel (green trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. The CS 6000i satellite's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/-15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +4.72/-5.05 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The -3dB point is at 180 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 159 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.11 ohms at 374 Hz and a phase angle of -19.10 degrees at 263 Hz. Sensitivity averages 85.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz. The CS 6000i center's listening-window response measures +5.61/-4.36 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and (+/-15-degree) horizontal responses measures +4.79/-3.32 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The -3dB point is at 158 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 143 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.77 ohms at 360 Hz and a phase angle of -36.81 degrees at 241 Hz. Sensitivity averages 83 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz. The TS 6000i sub's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower -3dB point is at 46 Hz and the -6dB point is at 42 Hz. The upper -3dB point is at 124 Hz. The MX6000i DVD/receiver unit's crosstalk at 1 kHz driving 2.83 volts into an 8-ohm load was -64.68 dB left to right and -66.10 dB right to left. THD+N from the amplifier was less than 0.151% at 1 kHz when driving 2.83 volts into an 8-ohm load. The signal-to-noise ratio with 2.83 volts driving an 8-ohm load from 10 Hz to 24 kHz with "A" weighting was -77.07 dBrA.—MJP
