Samsung HT-BD2T HTIB:
Two channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads: 0.2% distortion at 64.7 watts 1% distortion at 72.9 watts Two channels driven into 4-ohm loads: 0.2% distortion at 91.8 watts 1% distortion at 109.7 watts
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the PS-FBD2/PS-RBD2 tower (purple trace), PS-WBD2 subwoofer (blue trace), PS-CBD2 center channel (green trace), and PS-SBD2 back surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. The PS-FBD2’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +4.30/–1.81 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 121 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 112 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.89 ohms at 334 Hz and a phase angle of –42.46 degrees at 158 Hz. Sensitivity averages 84.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz. The PS-CBD2’s listening-window response measures +4.40/–2.76 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and (+/–15-degree) horizontal responses measures +5.01/–4.22 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 135 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 118 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.75 ohms at 302 Hz and a phase angle of –46.43 degrees at 158 Hz. Sensitivity averages 84.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz. The PS-SBD2’s listening-window response measures +7.37/–1.80 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 134 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 125 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.77 ohms at 322 Hz and a phase angle of –35.11 degrees at 203 Hz. Sensitivity averages 83 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz. The PS-WBD2’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 49 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 45 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 105 Hz. Crosstalk at 1 kHz driving 2.83 volts into an 8-ohm load was –83.04 dB left to right and –82.06 dB right to left. THD+N from the amplifier was less than 0.108 percent at 1 kHz when driving 2.83 volts into an 8-ohm load. The signal-to-noise ratio with 2.83 volts driving an 8-ohm load from 10 Hz to 24 kHz with “A” weighting was –88.47 dBrA.—MJP
