Panasonic Plasma Sets New Record By Mark Fleischmann January 19, 2010 — One of the visible highlights of this year's Consumer Electronics Show was this massive plasma shown by Panasonic. It measures an incredible 152 inches.

Even more remarkable, this isn't just a we can do it so there prototype. It will eventually be sold to presumably well heeled consumers, though model, price, and availability are currently unknown.

With resolution of 4096 by 2160 pixels, the set is especially suitable for 3D, providing full 1080p resolution in alternating left-eye, right-eye frames. Aspect ratio is 17:9, a little wider than the 16:9 norm.
