AT&T Offers Free Year of HD Bookmark and Share
April 6, 2007 — Sign up with AT&T as your video provider and you'll get a year of free HDTV. The offer is available to new U-verse subscribers. If that next-generation hybrid fiber-copper IPTV service is not available in your area, the offer also applies to AT&T-branded DirecTV and Dish Network service.

Included in the package, worth an annual total of $240, are 25 channels in U-verse and 31 in the satellite systems. The Dish offer is good through May 31, DirecTV through June 26, and U-verse through June 30. According to the press release, the promotion "is one of the first consumer promotions to be featured across the AT&T 22-state footprint"—a phrase that fires the imagination—"and is part of AT&T's efforts to deliver consumer benefits following the AT&T-BellSouth merger in December 2006."
