iPhone, iPod touch to Get BD-Live

July 23, 2009 — BD-Live bonus features are coming to Apple's iPhone and iPod touch.
The first movie to feature this enhanced feature access is Universal's Fast & Furious. Internet-connected iPhone and iPod touch owners can download companion applications from the Apple app store. With phone or touch in hand, users can use their touchscreens to control 360-degree views of the street races and access vehicle specs.
That's not all. Later this year, subsequent Universal titles will allow downloads of bonus content to the devices, use them as universal remotes, and let them access detailed information about the movie while watching it. There will also be integration with social networking sites.
