Best Buy's Blus Get Netflix
The models in question are the NS-WBRDVD Insignia Advanced and the NS-BRDVD3 Insignia Connected Blu-ray players. Both will handle Netflix streaming with a firmware upgrade. Both are BD-Live models, with the latest BD format profile. The Advanced player has wi-fi broadband connectivity while the Connected player depends on an ethernet connection. Both support Dolby TrueHD though only the Advanced player decodes DTS-HD Master Audio. Our advice is to skip the Connected and get the Advanced (or look to other brands for full compatibility with both lossless surround codecs). The NS-WBRDVD Insignia Advanced Blu-ray player has a list price of $250 and was on sale for $200 at presstime. The NS-BRDVD3 Insignia Connected Blu-ray player originally had a list price of $180 but that had dropped to $150 at presstime.
